Did you ever wonder how astronomers know so much about places where humans have never been?  The answer is usually spectroscopy!  Spectroscopy turns light from outer space into a rainbow-colored fingerprint that can reveal astounding things about the universe.  In this make-and-take activity, you’ll construct your own cardboard spectroscope.

Celebrate the end of a busy school year with a free picture day! Participants will leave with digital copies and one physical copy of their picture. Participants must have a working email address to receive a digital copy.  Upon registration, a librarian will reach out and schedule a photo time.
