Launch-a-Young-Reader

Beginning with the 2000-01 school year, the Burton Public Library began a project to promote reading and early library use among kindergarten children. Called 'Launch-a-Young-Reader', our program gives each new kindergartner a gift bag containing a hardcover children's book, an application for a library card, materials of interest to parents, and a coupon entitling the child to another gift when he or she next visits our library.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

Burton Public Library patrons have access to more than 10 million items, but sometimes a particular item is not available through CLEVNET. In this case, our Reference Department can search for the item outside of CLEVNET - throughout the 50 states and Canada. This is a free service.

Please note that this service takes longer than a standard request between CLEVNET libraries and the item borrowed must be returned to Burton Public Library. Please contact the Reference Department for more info.

Meeting Rooms

Do you need a space for your meeting? We have two rooms available upon request. Our small meeting room can hold up to 12 people, and the large room can hold up to 50.
